About 500 people came to celebrate the beginning of the new school year at Cabot Square on Saturday, September 9. The day was full of sun, smiles, happy mood and delicious corn, which made this event a huge success! Every year, this annual event demonstrates a little more the great citizen concertation and the collective work among local organizations which are taking place in Peter-McGill! We would like to thank the wonderful volunteers who helped so much during the event as well as the various organizations which were present, such as Éco-quartier Peter-McGill, Innovation Youth, the Shaughnessy Village Association, Evangel, the YWCA Montreal, the Women’s Centre of Montreal, Tel-Aide and the comité logement Ville-Marie.
Finally, we are very proud to announce that the event generated less than 1% of garbage! Thank you Compost Montréal and Éco-quartier Peter-McGill for doing such a great job with waste sorting!
