Youth Action Committee

Organizations serving 12-to-30 year-olds in the western downtown area meet on this Committee to ensure that the downtown resources for people in this demographic complement each other and to initiate actions that meet their needs and motivate them to get involved.

Each year, the committee offers free fun, educational and sporting activities, as part of its Youth outings project.

Here are the outings that were offered in 2017:

Ice-skating at Beaver Lake

Traditional sugar shack

Climbing activity

Introduction to Aeküus

Youth BBQ

Scavenger hunt at the Atwater Market

Great sports festival

You are interested in urban agriculture? You would like to try it at home? Join the Harvest to Table challenge Facebook group, it is open to all and aims at encouraging urban agriculture lovers to share tips and experiences!

What’s next: our participants will take advantage of the social media and upcoming neighbourhood activities to share their experience. Stay tuned!
