Youth Action

There are 23,350 people aged 15 to 34 living in the Peter-McGill neighborhood, representing 51.6% of the district’s population. This is significantly higher than in the City of Montreal, where young adults aged 15 to 34 make up only 28.8% of the total population.

This high concentration of young adults in our neighborhood can be explained in part by the presence of two major universities: McGill and Concordia.

GOAL

The goal of the Youth Committee is to bring together youth-focused partners to collaborate and find solutions to address the challenges faced by young people in the neighborhood.

The youth action committee opens its doors to young people, new partners and their initiatives.

Youth Mental Health Fair

During this special day dedicated to young people, participants had the opportunity to discover:
  • Resources to support mental health.
  • Workshops to develop coping strategies.
  • Discussions focused on adolescent and young adult well-being
