Seniors Action Quebec announced appointment of Vanessa Herrick as Executive Director The board of Seniors Action Quebec is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Herrick as the organization’s first executive director effective January 21, 2019. “Herrick’s appointment will help Seniors Action Quebec move ahead in its work as a leading voice for Quebec’s English-speaking seniors,” commented Seniors Action Quebec President Michael Udy. “We will continue to focus on knowledge, partnerships with community organizations and governments, and on policy and advocacy. The board is confident Vanessa’s knowledge and experience will enable her to take an important leadership role.” A bilingual Quebecer, Vanessa has more than 20 years of experience in public affairs and community building, and in strategic planning and communications. From the Centaur Theatre, to the World Federation of Hemophilia and the Global Centre for Pluralism, Vanessa has worked for leading Canadian and international organizations in a variety of contexts and countries. She has a degree in journalism from Concordia University and has studied communications and development at City University, London, UK.
