Winter has arrived and there are newly arrived Montrealers who still don’t have the right clothes! For this reason, the Welcome Collective is reaching out to different communities in Montreal to ask them to help collect essential winter clothing to distribute to refugee claimant families. Welcome Collective has already provided winter clothing to nearly a hundred families, including 220 children, 30 newborns and 130 adults this year. But there are many more families who still do not have basic winter attire. If you have some of the following items, for adults or children that you are no longer using, come and bring them to Éco-quartier de Peter-McGill :
- Winter Coat
- Winter Boots
- Snow Pants
- Other items like gloves, hats, scarves and mittens.
Please bring slightly used items that are in good condition and clean — it will be much appreciated by those who will be wearing them next! Each donation contributes to making a real difference for each newly arrived refugee family in Montreal.
