Wondering what to do this summer? Join our Summer Squad and take part in volunteering in downtown Montreal at community organizations. With the current crisis, volunteering and mutual aid are extremely important. Here’s a great way to get involved!
Every week, the Summer Squad will have one virtual meeting and one day per week we will volunteer for local community organizations. Other activities can be added depending on your availability and interests. This summer you can participate in activities such as preparing food baskets, environmental initiatives, organizing a cultural event, offering services to the elderly, among other activities. We are also open to your ideas!
Participants in our Summer Squad will also receive a monetary honorarium as well as certain benefits. Lunch and transportation on volunteer days will also be provided. All the necessary measures will be put in place to assure the safety and well-being of our participants. As well, participants must be between 15 and 19.
This project is a great way to get to know the Peter-McGill neighbourhood, meet new people and contribute to the wellbeing of the community! It’s also a great way to gain experience that you can include in your CV!
