The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Downtown Montreal, in consultation with the community, supports young people aged 16 to 35 who live in the city centre, transit or frequent it by motivating and mentoring them, in the pursuit of their education, professional, creative or entrepreneurial projects, in order to find their place in the job market in Montreal and elsewhere.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Further develop expertise on civic engagement, urban development issues, youth and the Carrefour territory, by carrying out research and participating in various workshop and training activities
- Support Créneau projects (volunteering and academic perseverance)
- Create and improve tools and procedures
- Implement strategies to reach the residents of the Peter McGill neighborhood on the field
- Mobilize residents to maximize their participation in the various activities of the My Peter McGill / My Peter McGill project
- Support residents in places of civic expression (borough council, public consultations, etc.)
- Improve and put into action the Carrefour plan concerning the civic participation of youth
- Update strategies to reach youth
- Represent and promote the Mon Peter McGill / My Peter McGill project and the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi
- Help develop and update promotional tools
- Participate in the organization and running of special CJE events
- Perform all other related tasks at the request of the immediate superior
Ideal profile includes:
• Obtained a post-secondary diploma related to the mandate;
• Relevant experience (minimum of 2 years);
• Excellent ability of developing and maintaining partnerships;
• Bilingualism (French and English);
• Versatility, flexibility, team spirit, autonomy and professional.
Conditions:
Position: full time (35 h/week);
