The Creative Arts Federation of Canada is set to host a remarkable event that promises to ignite creativity, foster community, and raise awareness for youth mental health. “Welcoming Words: An Evening of Poetry, Prose, and Art Therapy” will take place on November 18th at 4950 Queen Mary, Suite 001, Montreal, Quebec.

This soul-stirring fundraising event aims to support the upcoming Illuminate Conference on Youth Mental Health and Art Therapy, a cause that seeks to promote compassion and understanding in society. With every verse recited and art piece shared, attendees will contribute to building a more empathetic and aware community.

The event will kick off at 6:00 PM with an introduction and warm welcome to all participants. Local poets and writers will then take the stage from 6:10 PM to 6:40 PM, captivating the audience with their heartfelt readings. Following this, attendees will be introduced to the night’s writing form, setting the stage for an engaging writing workshop from 7:00 PM to 7:40 PM. A brief refreshment break at 7:40 PM will provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow artists and reflect on the evening’s creative energy. The event will resume with participant presentations and a share-out session from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM, allowing individuals to showcase their work and inspire others. The evening will conclude with closing remarks at 8:30 PM, leaving attendees with a sense of fulfillment and a renewed commitment to supporting youth mental health.

Tickets for this extraordinary event are priced at $15, with all proceeds going towards funding the Illuminate Conference and workshops. Attendees can conveniently purchase tickets online or at the door.

In addition to the artistic activities, it is crucial to recognize the profound impact that art therapy has on mental health. Through creative expression, individuals can find solace, healing, and self-discovery. By attending “Welcoming Words,” participants will not only contribute to a worthy cause but also advocate for the importance of artistic endeavours in maintaining and improving mental well-being.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an evening that celebrates the power of art and supports youth mental health!
